Scholarship Awarded

On Wednesday, September 27th during the Vic Johnston AGM, four scholarships were awarded to SHL players attending post-secondary school this fall.

Addison Hancharyk
Addison played in the SHL for over eight seasons, starting at the young age of five. He left the SHL for a few years but returned for his Midget season. Addison is attending Laurentian University in Sudbury and is currently studying for his Bachelor of Commerce in Sports Administration.

Matthew Tanaka
Matthew started playing Hockey in Streetsville under the old SAMHA banner. Matthew played in the SHL for nine seasons and has volunteered over the years in many areas of the VJCC. Matthew is attending Sheridan College and is studying Architectural Technology.

 

Christian Cordeiro
Christian has played hockey in Streetsville for over ten years including one year as an overaged player. Christian attended St Joseph High School, and is attending Ryerson University enrolled in Aerospace Engineering.

 

Jonathan Wong
Jonathan played hockey in Streetsville for five years. Jonathan was a time-keeper and a public skate patroller. Jonathan is attending Brock University and is enrolled in the Business Administration Co-op program.

 

The SHL wishes Addison, Matthew, Christian & Jonathan all the best and would like to thank each of the families for all of their support over the years!
