By Lindsay Howe
Ladybug Harbor opened in the village almost 20 years ago. This specialty gift shop, nestled in the heart of Port Credit, carries an array of eclectic merchandise. Ladybug Harbor specializes in hand crafted artisan works and Canadian crafted goods. Whether you are looking for a gift for a friend or family member, or something for yourself, Ladybug Harbor has a range of unique items for you to choose from!
This gift boutique carries an eclectic selection of hand crafted artisan works. From original semi-precious stone jewellery to steel art to angels, to rocks and crystals, there are unique accent pieces to suit all styles and tastes. Choose from a large selection of pottery, including glazed, abstract rose bowls which encompasses four beautiful pottery bowls that fit inside each other. Among the large selection of garden art available, Sugar Bush Fairy doors are also hot sellers at Ladybug Harbor. These little portals to fairyland are handcrafted, charming works, made from red cedar and they are great for both indoor and outdoor use.
Check out their selection of unique outdoor garden art. These specialty items make perfect outdoor accents for your patio or yard, while also making striking home décor items for the interior of your home. Enjoy them outdoors for the spring and summer, and bring them in to compliment the interior of your home during the winter months! This spiritual boutique is also known for its large selection of new age books and poetry. Ladybug Harbor offers monthly spiritual readings to provide intuitive guidance and assist with your personal growth.
Owner and curator of Ladybug Harbor Martha Sheppard is very passionate about showcasing Canadian artisan works and providing her customers with locally made, handcrafted items.
People are naturally drawn to her shop to discover all the new specialty items she has in store. While Ladybug has migrated over the years, from the west bank to the heart of the east village five years ago, Martha’s loyal customers have migrated with her.
Martha has always had a love and deep connection with the Village of Port Credit. She loves being able to walk out of her shop and be greeted by people she knows. Next year marks Ladybug Harbor’s 20th anniversary! Martha is grateful to her loyal customers over the years and feels fortunate to be able to work in such a friendly, supportive community.
